Poetry and Creative Work
I am of the firm opinion that one of the biggest ways to make academic work more accessible is through artistic mediums. My artistic medium of choice is poetry; and I am actively working to incorporate poetry/poetics into my academic endeavors.

Before I entered graduate school, I had a mildly successful time writing and performing poetry in the Denver/Boulder poetry scene in Colorado. I enjoyed being a featured poet at times, and would later go on to help curate different poetry and cultural events.
In a particularly cool collaboration with my friend Alejandra Abad, an incredible artist and educator, I had one of my poems animated and projected on the walls of the Denver Museum of Art.
I still occasionally write and perform, and am always happy to chat about my creative work. Here is a link to my old creative resume.
